 Canon

Canon's camera philosophy is centered on image quality, robust build, and its advanced autofocus technology, particularly the Dual Pixel CMOS AF.
Canon's high-end cameras are renowned for video quality, with many recent models featuring internal recording of high-resolution formats like 8K RAW (on the EOS R5 Mark II) and high-speed 4K recording.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF is Canon's proprietary, sensor-based, phase-detection autofocus technology. It has been the foundation of their superior focusing performance in Live View and video modes since its introduction in the EOS 70D (2013), and is now a core feature of their mirrorless EOS R system.

DSLR cameras are a popular choice for both amateur and professional photographers due to their robust features and image quality.  DSLRs generally feature large APS-C or full-frame sensors (which are significantly larger than smartphone sensors), delivering high-resolution images with excellent detail and low-light performance.

Interchangeable Lenses: A primary advantage is the ability to use a vast array of lenses (e.g., Canon EF/EF-S mount, Nikon F mount), offering immense versatility for different photography styles, such as portraits, landscapes, and wildlife.
